Summer is upon us and while we technically have a few days of Spring left, the humidity and tree pollen combined can make it harder to breathe. We'll cover that topic more at the end of the newsletter, but first here are some details about Oakhaven Health that will hopefully help you get the most from your membership.

Integrated SMS/Text Communications

Just a quick note that we would encourage you to use SMS/text function to communicate with Dr. Jordan or Dr. Sullivan, Especially after hours. This is of course, something that you would need to opt in. Here are there specific numbers:

In-House Lab Details

Our in-house lab is up and running. We have deeply discounted direct pay prices for Labcorp and Quest with regular daily pickups with Labcorp. If you have a blood draw or other specimen collected at our onsite lab, it will be done using our direct pay options. Many choose to do this for their convenience and often it ends up being less expensive than copays required by insurance. We provide a good faith estimate beforehand so that you can decide whether to have us do your lab collection onsite here or have the collection done at another facility. For Labcorp and Quest we can still transmit your orders electronically and use our direct pay options when you are not electing to run it through insurance. Otherwise we would send your lab order and you would provide insurance information at their draw station, but then be subject to their insurance-based pricing and any copays that result from that.


We regularly schedule people for labs Monday through Friday at 8:15, 8:30, 8:45 AM as well as on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. We try to schedule fasting labs for morning hours for your convenience. We usually get results back electronically within a day when collected onsite.


Friday Hours

We will normally be closing at noon on Fridays. If you have a previously scheduled Friday afternoon appointment at Oakhaven, we will either keep it in place or reach out to you to find an alternative time for you.


Special Limited-Time Opportunity

Free EKG. As part of a study to improve cardiac disease detection Oakhaven Health is now conducting EKGs for free. If you have not gotten one yet at Oakhaven, get scheduled soon to receive your free EKG! Call us today to make an appointment. If you have friends and family who are interested in participating, we can have them in as a guest and also get a chance to show them Oakhaven while they get a free EKG.
